SAVE THE PHILIPPINES

Do you want to know where the Philippines is headed and how we stand against our neighbors in the next 10 years?  Make a guess…...

My calculated guess is that we will be near the bottom if not at the bottom. It is demoralizing to note but true unless we the people take action NOW to reverse the down trend.  YES, there is a solution!  But first we have to identify the problem.

Why do you think we are going down?  I know why, because some of our people are very good in CRITIZICING almost everything we do. They shout to the whole world to hear all the bad things we do.

So, who are to blame? …. ALL are to blame.

Leaders
Terrorists
the Church
Common people – Yes you are included because in keeping silent you are not doing anything to correct the bad image. So do something NOW to improve our image. The easiest way is to keep our mouths shut about negative things and only open them to scream for the world to hear if we have something positive.

The Media:
In my opinion, they are the greatest contributor to our downfall. Why, because in their quest to report the TRUTH no matter how the issue will damage our country, they still do it. They sensationalize the report without factoring in the harm it will do to our country.

I also believe that our Media will be the biggest contributor to change our image to positive if they change direction and SENSATIONALIZE their positive reports. In this regard, I call on our media people to please consider this issue in reporting.
Whisper the negative and Yell whatever is positive.

Tomorrow we tackle others…

  1. I believe that there is still hope for the best. And I certainly agree that we are all to be blamed for all that has been happening to our country for the past years. Sadly, the good deeds of our fellowmen has been overpowered by negative ones. Sad but true. We cannot blame OFW's in search for greener pastures. We cannot blame foreign investors if they refuse to put up businesses here if terrorism continues. But then again, I hope that these things will not stop us from attaining our goal, at least to be a better country. Yes, it's hard to inculcate these in the minds of my Grade One kids. The best thing we do is to simply teach them the core values, which we hope they bring all throughout their life. True enough, these simple and random acts of good deeds is very much evident. A simple "lost-and-found" area could really mean much to them. I remembered the first time my heart band got lost. I misplaced it somewhere near the washing area, and I absolutely was hopeless to have it back. A week after, I was informed by our secretary that it was turned over by a student. I wasn't able to personally thank the one who found it but it gave me so much hope that there is still goodness in people, despite the odds. If only we do this simple random acts of good deeds each day, do you think we can still make it to the top? I believe, and I am hopeful, indeed. ♥
